NEW BOWLING LEAGUE Rolls into 2023!

We know you’re preparing for lots of turkey for Thanksgiving, but we’ve got even more opportunities for turkeys in 2023! Of course, we couldn’t pass up that pun to kick off this announcement…

We’re thrilled to present a brand new league for 2023 – Bowling. This social league will take place every Tuesday from 7:00-9:00 pm in Fairlawn at AMF Riviera Lanes.

Why should I join?
Why not is the better question? It’s organized weekly bowling with your friends. Don’t have any friends to bowl with? Don’t worry, we’ve got a solution!

When does it take place? How long?
The session will be 6 weeks long, every Tuesday from 7:00-9:00 pm.

Where?
This league will be conveniently located at Rivera Lanes — right off West Market Street and the Miller Road exit off 77. 20 S Miller Rd, Fairlawn, OH 44333.

What’s the format? How does scoring work?
We have set this league up to create a fun but also lightly competitive environment. We will be tracking and posting individual and team stats each week. 

League Format: 
2 individual games followed by 1 team game. This is subject to change based on how long the games take after week 1. We will communicate any changes to the format in person and via email.

  • Do we get a warm-up?
    • Yes, 7:00-7:10 pm is your team’s warm-up time. 
  • Basic Bowling Rules
    • No overhand throws
    • Granny Roll is Ok

  • How does my team “win” the league?
    • Win/loss record during the 6 weeks along with your team’s overall average for the duration of the league.
  • What do I get if I “win” the league?
    • Both the first and second-place teams will receive a prize for their performance.
  • What happens if we finish early?
    • You may continue to bowl until our allotted time is up.

I want to play, but I don’t have a ball or bowling shoes…What do I do?!
Shoes and balls are all included in your league fees!

Will there be food or beverages available?
You’re in luck. Not only will there be an excellent bar at the facility – participants will have awesome league-specific specials like $3 draft beers, and $3 house wine, as well as some other surprises! Outside food and beverage are prohibited. 

How many people per team?

  • 5 per team

How Much?

  • $400 per team ($80 per player)
  • $80 per player for free-agents

What if I don’t have a team?
We have a free agent form where you can register as an individual. Countless friendships have been created in our other leagues through free agency – give it a shot!

If you have a small group of 2-3 friends that are looking to play together but you need additional bowlers to fill out your team – this is a great option. If you would like to be placed with another free agent you must mention it in the comments section of the form. Please note that you must pay a reservation payment to be placed on a free agent team; if we’re unable to place you, we will refund this reservation payment in full.
