HOW DO I JOIN A LEAGUE?

Registration dates and times are typically announced on social media before we formally drop the sign-ups. Registration links will appear under each sports-specific programming page. Leagues tend to fill extremely quickly, so we encourage you to enroll your team or as an individual (free agent) as soon as these links are available. 

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A TEAM?

So you’re a free agent, eh?! We love helping individuals find a team to join. Whether you’re new to the Akron area or you’re just looking for a fun and enjoyable new way to exercise and meet new friends, registering as a free agent is a great way to connect and play in the community. 

Our free agent forms are unique to each sport and will help us identify the skill level and/or night of the week that works best for you and your schedule. 

Please note, we cannot guarantee placement onto a team, but we’ll always do our best. 

When will schedules be released?

The full  schedules are typically released 3-7 days ahead of the start date of programming. Match/Game times may vary, so expect to play at any of the potential times we published during the registration period. If you have a request for certain earlier or later game times, we will do our best to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee that the entirety of the schedule will match your requests. We do our best to evenly distribute early and late matches for all teams.

when does the next league start?

We will announce upcoming leagues along with sign-up dates on each specific page for that sport. We also regularly post information about upcoming session dates on our Instagram.

Do I get a t-shirt if i play in the league?

We do our best to provide t-shirts for every league possible, but we cannot guarantee that every league will have shirts included. Traditionally, we have done a different color of our super-soft and popular Bella Canvas tees for Session 1 of our summer sand leagues, however, we have never done league-wide shirts for indoor volleyball leagues.

How Are champions determined for leagues?

Each league has a unique way of tracking scores and standings. For most sports, we track the total wins/losses and use that metric. For some sports, we collect and share more detailed data.

Seeding for any playoffs at the end of the session will be determined by regular season performance. Playoff and championship prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of each season.  

Where are the sand courts located?

The courts are located in downtown Akron, on the former campus of the B.F. Goodrich Company. Our 4-sand courts sit adjacent to The Towpath Trail and are behind 123 West Bartges Street. We recommend inputting R. Shea Brewing Canal Place or Missing Falls Brewery to your GPS, then follow the smokestacks to the courts!

WHERE Is pinnacle sports?

Pinnacle is located right off of 18 (West Market Street) on the Medina/Summit County border at 313 Medina Rd, Medina, OH 44256.
