Sand Volleyball Leagues in Akron!
Weeknight and weekend co-ed leagues for all levels are located in downtown Akron at our own home base, the Canal Courts. Whether you are new to the game and looking for a fun night with friends or co-workers or you’re a seasoned setter, we have leagues for every ability and level of competitiveness.
In April 2023, we added another 100 fresh tons of sand to our complex. We will be making continuous improvements to the space each year.

FORMATS OFFERED: MONDAY COED BB 6’s, TUESDAY COED B 6’s, WEDNESDAY COED B/BB 4’s, THURSDAY COED REC 6’s, FRIDAY COED REC/B 6’s, SUNDAY COED REC/B 6’s

Summer Sand Volleyball
Session 1 Sunday-Friday volleyball leagues will begin the first week of May and run for 9+ weeks, including a rain-out week and playoffs.
The second session of summer sand will run from mid-July through mid-October.
Leagues fill quickly, so please pay close attention to registration dates/times!

Our main facility is located in downtown Akron, directly under the historic Goodrich smokestacks right off the Towpath Trail with nearly 100,000 square feet to socialize and play. The new brewery district featuring Missing Falls and R. Shea is conveniently located adjacent to our four sand volleyball courts, between Main Street and W. Bartges. Thanks to support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the Ohio and Erie Canalway Coalition – The Canal Courts are our home base for sand volleyball leagues, tournaments and other events. Outside of programmed activity, these courts and open and free to use by the public.
