BOCCE BALL Leagues in Akron!
Previously, we have held bocce ball leagues on Cascade Plaza in partnership with the Downtown Akron Partnership (DAP).
We are planning to bring this activity back Summer 2024 adjacent to our sand volleyball courts – The league is anticipated to launch in mid-June.

BOCCE BALL LEAGUES
The object is to throw your bocce balls closer to the Pallino or Jack, than your opponent. The first team to reach 12 points wins the game (must win by 2). A match typically consists of 3 rounds.

Canal Courts:
Sand Volleyball
Our main facility is located in downtown Akron, directly under the historic Goodrich smokestacks right off the Towpath Trail with nearly 100,000 square feet to socialize and play. The new brewery district featuring Missing Falls and R. Shea is conveniently located adjacent to our four sand volleyball courts, between Main Street and W. Bartges. Thanks to support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the Ohio and Erie Canalway Coalition – The Canal Courts are our home base for sand volleyball leagues, tournaments and other events. Outside of programmed activity, these courts and open and free to use by the public.
